Portland's story began nearly a decade ago when Sarah Pepels, a new music student, met Jente Pironet. Their musical collaboration led to the prestigious De Nieuwe Lichting prize and their debut album ‘Your Colours Will Stain’ in 2019. They played major festivals and received MIA nominations. The pandemic halted their rise, but 2021’s ‘Besides’ showcased their evolving dynamic. Their latest album ‘Departures’ reflects profound emotion and superb songwriting.
